i know i’ve only been married for 2 weeks and i’m probably still on the newlywed high but i really like marriage. it’s a sweet thing to come home to a husband. yes, i might have to clean twice as much, and wash twice as much laundry but it’s all worth it. we haven’t had a fight yet, yet. i know they’re coming but i’ll enjoy the peace while and when i can. Jacob told me yesterday i was easy to live with. that made me feel good. altho we both are pretty chill people.i was looking at some of our first photos together the other day and it just made me smile. i can’t believe we’ve come as far as we have and are now married. God is awesome. i was saying yesterday how everyone keeps saying the first year of marriage is the hardest and we laughed as he said he thought the year before we got married was probably the hardest. i love the sweetness of knowing we can make it in marriage because of the tuff situations we have been through before we were married. there were trials and things that tried to prevent our marriage but God was faithful to keep us together and our love stayed strong. sometimes i get scared about the future, if i will be a good wife, and if we will be able to make it work, but i really shouldn’t because we have over come so much already. i’m married to the most amazing, sweetest, kindest, hottest, most gentle man i know. i thank God for him every day. i love you baby.

in case you dont know, i’m engaged and getting married to Jacob Johnson on may 9th. we have almost 54 days left. i thought it would be interesting to blog about the wedding butterflies, stress and the just all around busyness of wedding planning.

i am getting a little more nervous now. yesterday we made two huge choices, we signed a lease together and we now have a joint bank account. the whole “marriage” thing is really starting to become real. accepting weird quirks and strange habits for what they are and choosing to love no matter what is huge. we started talking about nightly routines the other day which lead to an interesting conversation. i dont have a tv in my room at all and he watches tv until 1:30 sometimes. thats crazy but you know maybe i can go to sleep with the tv on. we’ll try it and i’ll let ya know. even crazier tho, he proceeded to tell me that he sometimes eats in bed. eating in bed wont be apart of our nightly routine. sorry, babe. you always dream of getting married but now that its here it seems so much more frightening….more to vent im sure.
